US-Taiwan Business Council

ORGANIZATION PROFILE: The US-Taiwan Business Council is a private, non-profit business association committed to developing trade and business between the United States and Taiwan. The Council provides member companies with strategic services as well as access to a network of companies and key contacts involved in business between Taiwan and the United States, and serves as an effective spokesman in dealing with business, trade, and investment matters.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The US-Taiwan Business Council seeks interns to assist with research and development on business and policy issues impacting the climate for US companies doing business in Taiwan. Projects and duties include industry sector research and publication, website content research, general business policy research, as well as general office work. Interns will develop a solid working knowledge of US-Taiwan business and policy issues in a real-world environment and will be afforded many networking opportunities. Interns will also be eligible to participate in related seminars and discussion groups in the Washington, DC area.

REQUIREMENTS (if any): Qualified candidates will possess excellent research and English writing skills, and will have an interest and/or academic background in international business policy or East Asian affairs.
