ORGANIZATION PROFILE: The Tribes Art Gallery mounts a new show every month. Each exhibition embraces different media and themes, from photographs celebrating jazz to high-tech installations evoking dystopia. Artists are chosen by the gallery for their innovative use of materials or treatment of subject, for a vision that grows out of a sense of community, and for artistic excellence. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Arist assistant to help with production and promotion of upcoming exhibition MADONNA SERIES. Requires phone and organizational skills. Mailings, faxes, and research required for promotion. Liason with Gallery/media and learn about the NYC artworld. Possibility for continuing internship, dependant on mutual satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS (if any): Excellent phone skills and organizational skills.
